“Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly flow the days.“

Around them, the sky changed its hue imperceptibly. Its gradient shifted, blue to purple to pink to red. Slowly, a deep darkness crept in, until it covered the entire sky.
The mud that coated their fingertips provided a comforting warmth.
A cold evening breeze blew and the grass surrounding them swayed with it, brushing against their skin so, so, softly. It tickled.
The breeze grew stronger with every passing moment, now laced with the smallest of droplets. Everything smelled of petrichor, rain, and magic
At some point, a light in the distance flickered on in the distance, and another, and another.
Without realising it, they became an island in a sea of stars.
The crows, crickets, swaying trees, rain, melted into something else. There was a low hum coming from everywhere, a sweet music that hadn’t been there a moment before(or maybe no one ever noticed it). Is this the sound of silence?
The world had never been so heartachingly real.
Alive, Alive, Alive.
They were the only person to exist. Ever.
Alive, Alive, Alive.
In another, distant universe, a sharp sound rang out. Once. Twice.
That everlasting moment was over, never to return.
Its sanctity was ruined.
Such a beauty was never meant to last.
